I went to art school I took black and white photography as a required course
the first year. I liked the process so much and found it was a great form
of expression for me that I took it as an elective the following two years.
I used photography to complete many projects for graphic design courses. I
experimented with different photographic techniques such as solarization and
making line drawings from negatives on high contrast ortho film. Over the
years it served me well as an expressive art form. In graduate school I took
courses in photo silkscreening, 4x5 view camera and a year of color. The following
pages and links contain a variety of subjects and techniques that I found
interesting and exciting to work with.
